2005 Accord I4 Sloshing Sound at High RPMs (
Hi,
Well, I am currently driving my dad's Honda Accord 2005 with I4 and AT.He doesn't really hard accelerate on it, but I do. It's been 2 years since I drove this thing, and I found that after around 4000 RPM there is a sloshing sounds coming from the front from the engine, near the passenger side where its a sloshing like sound. Could also be belt slipping?
It is a weird sound that if you don't try to hear it with the radio off, you won't notice it, but it is definitely not a normal engine rumble at higher RPM.
I can't really tell if its affecting engine power, since its as slow as ever, but it isn't broken feeling if that makes any sense (IE its not taking super slow to get to 100 kph).
This disappears completely at anything lower than 4k RPM, and it only gets really loud at around 5k, but I don't really maintain that for any length of time.
I tried to record a video of it, but I don't have a mic that picks it up properly and only picks up the engine sound.
Anyone would have any idea here?
