Default 1992 Civic with B18C(obd1) Catalytic Converter and CARB Compliance questions.

Hey Guys need some help with my car. I have failed smog again and am going to replace my catalytic converter again before my next test. The last time i had my cat replaced(when I failed smog 4 years ago) the shop for some stupid reason welded the CAT directly to my Greddy cat back exhaust.

So this time I want to add the flanges back in as it was originally. I would like to use the Magnaflow LS direct replacement CAT(PN 332637) to ease install and make any future replacements easier. So my questions are:

1. Will the Magnaflow direct replacement for the LSbe ok to use and still be CARB Compliant. The EO(D-193-117) lists all the cats generically for all models under the same order, so I wonder if it would be fine when looked up. Magnaflow through their search engine brings up PN 332034 as the universal replacement for 94-95 Integras which my car is BAR certified under.

2. I know that the lengths are different between the Cat and B piped for the GSR vs LS Integra but since I will be cutting the pipe off and adding a flange would that really matter?

3. Is there a problem with it bolting to my exhaust manifold(JDM 2.5" collector)?

Thanks for any help.
