Default AC - High side is low, low side is high.

I recently went to recharge my ac, and the guages showed the low side being high and the high side being low, it took most of the 12 ounce can that I put in and then wouldn’t take any more. Any thoughts on what could be causing the problem or possibly how to fix it? Thanks in advance!

Does it work? Sounds like your gauge set is backwards lol

What car? Was the compressor clutch running? A high low side and low high usually means the system is either off (equalized) or the compressor is weak.

We're going to need a bunch more information to help you out. Let us know how you charged it, and if it was from a deep vacuum. What's the history of the system, ambient temperatures, and any other miscellaneous symptoms it may have?
