Default y8 to y7

So I own a daily beater civic 98 EX Automatic, the engine died, so I swapped it for a D16Y7 automatic that came from a 2000 civic hb..the guy gave me the ECU as well
I used the y8 harness and the y8 ecu, had to extend few wires, etc start up fine, idles fine, but the D4 keeps blinking...and cannot go forward

I switched the ecu for the one that came with the Y7 ..it doesn't start but the D4 wasn't blinking ..

I'm new to this honda swap thingy ... what am I doing wrong here?
do I need a obd2a to obd2b jumper? did i misplugged a solenoid valve something?

Default Re: y8 to y7

use the harness from the 98 and a computer from 96-98 lx/dx/cx automatic. y8 a/t uses a 3 wire iacv, so you're covered there... y8 ecu wants knock, which a y7 does not have, and the y8 and y7 auto transmissions are not the same.
