Theres actually a few things that need to be addressed.
First of which, the IACv.
Unless the Y8 your putting in the car is auto, it will have a 2-wire IACv when your car's harness will have a 3-plug one. Can either re-pin it out yourself, or just get the Y8 harness along with it.
The y8 also has VTEC, so your stock harness for a y7 will not have that, again, needs to either be wired by hand, or get the y8 wiring harness.
What ECU do you plan to use? If you plan on using a p2p (stock y8), it reads for a differnet EVAP system than any 96-00 DX/CX/LX comes equipped with, therefore throwing a Check engine light, as well as compromising your car's ability to pass state inspection (depends on area) This can be solved by either obtaining the correct charocol canister (honda dealer or junk yard) from any 96-00 civic EX. Tis would be a pain to pin out by hand, again, i highly suggest just obtaining the Y8 wiring harness if you plan on staying OBD2 and emissions legal.
-or-
run a p28 and a jumper if you dont want to run into some of those issues.

If your ITM is from a Y8 auto, just remove and replace. If your ITM is from a Y8 Manual you must plug up the IACV holes before installing. Then Plug up the cruise control vacuum port/nipple. Make sure you check all gaskets/o-ring and replace as needed. You will need a Y8 intake arm and air box also.
