Overfilled Oil - Rough idle and Misfires - 1997 Civic EX
Okay so I am a total noob so I apologize in advance for how bad this is going to sound... Okay, so it all started when I checked my dip stick and saw no oil on it. So for some reason, I assumed my car had no oil and I needed to go buy some. So I did and came home and put 5 quarts into my car without draining any out and drove it around the block and then it started to run really really rough and spit out a ton of white smoke out of exhaust pipe.
then I got home and drained the oil and put the recommended amount in. But I am still having misfires and rough idle.
I changed spark plugs since then and it seems I fouled those too because I didn't clean out the oil that got into the spark plug holes. Can someone please help me. There is no more oil going into the spark plug holes.
Could the oil that was still in the spark plug holes have fouled the new spark plugs and now that there isn't anymore I should replace the spark plugs again? I am very lost and no good at diagnosing problems with cars. There are no noticeable leaks.
