D15B7 3 stage vtec swap O2 sensor CEL
Ive been searching all day with no conclusive results.
CAR/MOTOR: D15B7 3 stage vtec swapped into a 96 CX hatch. ECU is JDM P2J-003 and is utilizing the factory non-vtec engine harness.
ISSUE: CEL with code 1 flashing on the dash. Car runs and drives fine but i want this CEL gone.
The factory harness utilizes a 4 wire primary O2 sensor. From research, i believe the JDM P2J utilizes a 1 wire o2 sensor. Car has an aftermarket header back w/ welded in high-flow cat (w/ provisions for secondary o2 sensor, but i believe this JDM ECU does not need a secondary o2.
Thanks! I hope i provided enough info.
How do i go about modifying the 4 wire to be compatible with the 1 wire ECU & 4 wire harness?

SO FUNNY, I DON'T HAVE THAT PROBLEM BUT ONLY YOU. WOULDN'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO TELL YOU. TAKE IT BACK TO THE PERSON WHO WIRED IN THE OTHER SENSORS THAT ARE NEEDED?

NO SIR, THE D15Z7 3 STAGE USES A SINGLE WIRE, THE SIGNAL WIRE. THE OP SEEMS TO HAVE, QUESTIONABLE THAT IS, A D15B7 3 STAGE THAT ALSO REQUIRES A SINGLE WIRE, AND IT SHOULD BE THE SIGNAL WIRE.
i think i might have figured out the problem. my 'code 1' might in fact be 'code 10'...which is IAT sensor. i took out my IAT sensor and the tip is melted in half. ill report back tomorrow once sensor is replaced.
short flash = 1's digit
example: single long flash and two short flashes means CEL 12
thread that goes into more detail here
Melted IAT is a common issue when you have the EVAP purge solenoid and IAT plugs swapped (same plug, same area, bad design by honda) make sure you have it the right way or you will destroy the next IAT.

I thought I saw a replacement ECU component on xenocron that mentioned swapping those plugs.
