Default Auto to manual swap problem

Hey guys, couple months ago i swaped with my friend my ek3's transmission from CVT to manual. Its a 1996 ek3 d15b 3stage vtec. The ecu is P2J-J62. After the swap the vtec wont engage. Why is this happening? I kept the automatic's ecu and harness. The car is working fine, we tried diffrent ecu's but it was reving up and down. Anyone could help me?

when you do auto to manual swap you don't keep the same ecu.

i'm not well versed in non-us sohc's, but honda from 96-00 commonly put a 3 wire idle air control valve on their automatic vtec engines, and a 2 wire on the manuals. my guess is the manual ecu you used was looking for a 2 wire iacv, and you have a 3. overwhelming odds on vtec not working would be the ecu looking for transmission solenoids that no longer exist, possibly putting you into limp mode. pics of the engine would be helpful here, given as there are tons of d15b variants.

edit: i just did literally two minutes of reading. you need to swap over to a 2 wire iacv and rewire, and the ecu you need should be the p2j-003

Thanks for the reply. So i need to put an IACV from a manual d15b right? I guess then i put on the p2j-003 it was going into limp mode cause of the iacv, cause vtec cant engage with CEL on..? So i should just put back the p2j-003 and swap the iacv, but how do i rewire it on that Ecu? Any link for that or maybe u could explain me which pins to move where..?thanks a lot for help.
