how to get teg to give codes
ok, in my friends 99 LS, the check engine light has been on for a long time, i know the thing went into safe mode, but all it does is stay on. im pretty sure its an o2 thing. but how cant i get the integra to throw a code so he can have it fixed?

go under the passenger side, ont he right side under the glovebox. look for a bright green rubber connector cap, about the size of an integra clockface. pull it down, pull out the little connector, and insert a wire connecting the two holes.
now, turn on the car to ON (do not start it) and watch the indicator, long blinks indicates a tens digit (4 long blinks = 4_) and then the short blinks indicates the ones digit (5 short blinks = _5) so, putting 4 long and 5 short together, you get 45, which is too rich / too lean.

damnit, just beat me to it.
it's right over the passenger's kick panel. look for this rubber green cap that has to connectors going into it. (they arent connect to anything) use the one that has two wires going into. just use some electrical wiring to stick into the holes and turn key to ACC. the car should start to give you some codes. HTH.
