99 crv cranks but no start
Yes i understand this has probably been covered over ten thousand times. However every thread i read has a different problem and the cures have yet to fix my crv.
Now then, ill start with this. My crv was running perfectly fine last friday ( a week and two days ago).
went to start the car last saturday and it fired up but then idled funny and i shut it off. Since then, it has yet to start other than a very breif second this afternoon while i was testing it again post repair.
ive gone through EVERYTHING you could imagine as far as basic tests and checking oddball things like the pgm-fi circuit board. Ive had a buddy cone by with his $5,000 dollar snapon computer to check everything that he could with it, everything is acting normal. Injectors are pulsing, all voltages across the ignition spectrum are on point. Fuel pump primes with key on and the plugs are getting spark (blue/orange) ive ensured that my timing belt is in one peice and the cams function still. Checked fuses, relays and everything inside. Looked over my wiring ie; grounds. Tested theories about to much air or too little air to no avail. Hell i even removed the resonator pipe (post cat) and looked in the cat to check for clogs. The only odd thing about the cat is this. The car, as stated in the beginning very briefly fired up while the pipe was removed. Coincidence? Not sure.
Thus far, im ready to call it quits on this crv. For over a week now my means of transportation has been sitting in my driveway being temperamental and im becoming annoyed.
my apologies for making this so long and for posting about a subject that has had answers. Those answers havent work though.
the only thing i have not done is, replace ignition coil inside distributor, replace fuel filter, compression test and a legitimate timing check. Im simply amazed that it could go from running like a work horse to being deader than a door nail.

What are your fuel pressures at the fuel rail and what are your compression values? Just because your pump primes doesn't mean you're getting the required 52-or-whatever psi at your injectors.
Funny story. Randomly decided to try to start it the other day and the bastard fired right up. Drove it twice now since the three week down time and it drove fine. Until today when my resonator decided to throw itself under my driver side rear tire l, taking the piping with it. So again, itll be parked until it sells or i magically come into a mountain of cash to fix the f'er
