In the process of finishing up my swap. 99 ex with ps and ac. Putting in a b16b. I used the CRV ac mount for the compressor.

The B16b has the ps brackets on the block, it seems to me that the series pump will mount to those brackets. The issue is that the upper hose is too short by an inch or so. If I replace that upper hose with one off of a EM1 will that remedy it?

The b16b only came with the brackets no pump.

 

The SOHC pump will NOT bolt up to DOHC VTEC P/S brackets. The EM1 upper hose will work with a '98+ "B" series VTEC P/S pump for sure... and non VTEC Integra pumps. Since you are in Canada, there may be models that exist in your market that I am not familiar with since I am in the USA, so you may have to improvise a bit while you search. SOHC P/S pumps and those found on the CR-V here in the US market have two mounting planes for the bolts... the DOHC VTEC and B18A/B P/S pumps have both mounting points in the same plane.

 

JRCivic1 Thank you, just the information I was looking for. I noticed a "ear" on the top this must be the extra mounting spot. I'll take a trip down to the wrecker tomorrow and see what I can find. It's been so long since I've wrenched on these cars I'm having quite the learning curve. I will post my finding's this weekend.

 

Found a power steering pump off of a 2000 Integra LS. Its marked p72. My motor has p73 brackets, bolted up just fine. The high pressure line is the stock y8 one and some slight massaging I got it to fit nicely around the valve cover.

 

Perfect.
