Default Rattle Can paint job

Sharing my rattle can paint Job. This was done in an old horse barn with plastic on the ceiling and walls but not the floor. lol. We got lazy. Project car is a Flamenco Black Pearl, 2000 Civic Si.

Supplies:
Painters tape
Plastic
Roll paper
Local Sherwin Williams mixed me up 3 12oz cans of NH-592P at $30 each
1 12oz can of rust-oleum etching primer
1 12oz can of rust-oelum primer sealer
1 can of spray max 2k clear

Prepped the bay with a few Maroon scotch bright pads (400 grit), I sanded down to the OEM sealer/primer. Followed with 800 grit dry to smooth any roughness.
Sprayed 1 can of etching primer. This was mainly to cover areas where I went down to the bare metal. knocked off some rough areas with 800 grit.
Sprayed 1 can of primer sealer and then followed with 800 grit again.
Sprayed 3 cans of base-coat
Allowing 10-15 minutes of flash time between each can. I used 1 can for 1 coat. The base-coat goes on light
Didn't have time to clear the same day. I cleared the next day (1 can of spray max 2k) after wiping the entire bay with tack cloths and oil and grease remover.

Overall happy with the results. I wanted a clean original look with some pop. Of course there is orange peel. Spray cans produce horrible over spray. However, the orange peel isn't bad at all. I plan to hit the clear with wet 800, 1000, 1500, 2000 and then cut and buff. Should finish this project up. You cant see it in the pictures but there is tons of flake in NH-592P. These pictures were took with 1 overhead LED light. In the sun, this bay will shine like new money!

Not bad for an engine bay. Why didn't you fill up the unused holes??

Going back OEM with everything. So there will not be many holes unused.
