EP3 cruise control button as foglight switch wiring
So, I'm having a hell of a time figuring this button out. I'm trying to use an OEM cruise control button with plug/pigtails to turn on an aftermarket relay-powered foglight set. I have knowledge in car audio and lighting installs, so it's a bit embarrassing that I can't figure this out. The fog lights WORK. The button lights do not, and the car I pulled it from had working button backlight and indicator light. Am I reading this diagram right? On the switch, green wire is load, black/yellow is supply for that load. The green indicator light turns on when the load circuit is closed via 12+ from the load wire side of the switch and the ground (black). Red/ black wire is 12+ for "Cruise" backlit words light, and it's red wire ground is controlled by the dimmer for the dash, but grounding it with the black wire should turn it on.
Re: EP3 cruise control button as foglight switch wiring
Swapped a known-currently-to-be-working cruise control button out of my civic of the same style, and none of the lights work. Bonus: Now one of the backlit lights on the civic's button is popped! I thought these were 12v? Honda dealership confirmed that they are 14v bulbs, they're little incandescent suckers...
