92 Civic SI won't start after wire tucked
Got a 92 Civic SI that wont turned over after wire tucked. Was a running and driving car. I did not do the wire tuck. My buddy said he did
the exact same thing on his eg hatch and it works great.
However, for some reason it just cranks and cranks but won't turned over. I know the ecu, main relay, ignition system works...as I got spark, fuel, timing is also good.
Could it just be a bad ground somewhere? As of now, there is ground on the valve cover, t-stat housing, tranny, and negative battery terminal (battery)which as been moved inside the car, behind the dash.
Also the dash is out if that's got something to do with it. Motor was also taken out to be cleaned and put back on car.
Any tips, help, suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

He just helped do the wire tuck. We both check everything that we thought might be the culprit.
Even swap/test parts from a stock driving eg civic.

The main ones are on, like valve cover, battery, tranny, t-stat housing
headlights n grounds are not connected yest but i dont think that should affect starting though.

You have missed something. If you have a known good ECU (like it works in another car... like your buddy's), you hear the main relay click and the fuel pump prime when the key is turned on, and you have spark and fuel at each cylinder (plugs are wet since the car won't start), the engine SHOULD RUN !!! So check all of these things again.
Yeah, you would think it should run but the only thing to double check is if the injectors actually fires even though it got fuels to the rail
its got 12v power on the injector wires but ill take the plugs out n clean it
got 3 good p28 ecu...test all of them on the other hatch n its good

worth a shot in the dark... but is your gauge cluster plugged in? Not sure on '92-'95 year civics, but i think i heard that on some newer cars, if your gauge cluster isn't plugged in, then the car wont turn over.
Ok...i unplugged the gauge cluster on my beater hatch but car still starts...so my other question is
does the entire dash needs to plug in for car to start?
The dash was removed to do the wire tucked and hvac delete

i put my battery in trunk and grounded it to frame. im tucking wires right now. pain in the ****. every step i do i make sure it works. old harness had alot of cracked plastic on wires causing problems....
Got the car fired up today...it was one of the wire hardness behind the dash...couple wires were frayed so...must shorted or not having good current
