Car is a 1996 Honda Civic EX with a D16Y8.

So I was driving pretty gently yesterday and lost power just about immediately after not driving very long. There was no sputter or bucking. The car cranked great but would not start back up. Temps were fine, timing belt was fine and there were no scary noises. Car had been running pretty normal up until that point.

After research it seemed like my most likely issue was the ignition. I changed it out but when I put the new one in now the car doesn't turn over at all. I double checked to make sure I had the positive and negative terminals on it correctly and it looks fine.

Is it possible I shorted something? Maybe the wire I removed from the igniter went bad when I removed it to take out the ignition?
