Default Did I get the wrong fuel filter?

So just received my parts from Acurapartswarehouse and think I may of got the wrong fuel filter.

The fuel filter in my car has both gas lines going in at the top of the filter while the one I just purchased has 1 on top and the other on the bottom?

Will it still work or I should the get the same one as previous with both lines going in the top of the filter?

Should probably look up the part # you received to be sure, but it looks like an EG filter. Don't know if it can be made to work easily, I think the newer style was narrower and may not stay in the mount strap.

If it is just mounting I am sure I can work that out. Just not sure they both function the same?

It may function the same, but why would you bother, get the right one.
