There is no relay in the circuit for the blower motor. What is the issue?

If you're chasing the blower resistor it's behind the glovebox. Remove the 4 pin plug and the phillips head screws holding it into the fan ducting.

Yep, they go pretty regularly. Luckily, replacements are pretty cheap, and easy to do once you know the location that sp33 just told you of.
