Driver Door Wiring Harness Connector Issues
Hello fellow Honda enthusiasts! I have a dilemma for you all. I have a 1996 Civic LX. I was really excited to install tint today and then I remembered that the only window that rolls down is the driver door. About a year ago I found the typical wiring mess in the drivers door jam where the harness connects to the door. At this time, my power lock would intermittently work, and none of the windows would roll down. I went to the junkyard and snipped of two connectors. Well I crimped on one of them a year ago and got the driver window to work and the door speaker. Fast forward to today, I tried the other connector and got the same exact result, so there are either shorts somewhere before the harness exits behind the fender or most likely there are shorts inside the door itself. Any suggestions how to tackle this? Also, if I can't get anymore windows to roll down, is there a way to supply and outside power source just to roll down the window so I can install tint? Thank you so much in advance.
