Default give me your opinion

i have a f22b2 auto tranny in a 95 accord 4 door. I am planning to change the tranny to 5 speed manual and i need peoples opinion if i should keep the f22b2 or drop in a h22a????

Sell it and buy a manual 'something'. (unless you've got freakin high miles of course)

h22...as long as your pulling the trans and converting it, why not get some power behind the shifter?

I'd study the smog laws in california very carefully before I did that. You have to be mindful of what H22's are legal and what are not. Also, if you don't have another car to use while its being worked on, "engine-drop-replace-fabricates" can take forever. Just dropping and replacing an engine/tranny in my rx7 (that had LOTS of room to work with) took almost a whole spring break with just me doing it (5 days working about 3-4 hours/day). And there was no fabrication or tuning really involved. (i like torquing things to spec)

The lucky thing is that your car is a 95 with OBD I. Makes life a bit easier and you'll feel more gains if you decide to end your H22 mods at a stock-like platform.

technically wouldn't it be IN FRONT of the shifter?

I think he meant 'behind' like 'backing' the shifter--as in some ***** to back it up.
