I replaced the spark plugs on my accord today and noticed that the 3 plugs on the back of the engine were wet and dirty, while the 3 on the front were clean and dry. I replaced these plugs about 2 years ago but I did it at a service shop so I didn't pay attention if they were also like that back then. Attached is a photo of the plugs being laid out as their actual location on the engine (3 back and 3 front). All the coil packs were dry and clean. I have been searching for the problem but couldn't find any. I found this article (post #9) which described the same situation but didn't say anything about what caused it and how to fix it. Does anyone know what could cause this and how to fix it?
Also, anyone know how many O2 sensors the accord 2010 V6 has?
The old plugs from my Accord 2010 V6. The 3 in the front were clean and dry. The 3 in the back were wet and dirty.
I've had the same issue 3 times where the same 3 spark plugs went bad. My spark plugs smelled heavy of gas. I just replaced the plugs and carried on. If you dont have money for new plugs, you could use a torch to burn the gas and oil off the plugs, then clean threads with a wire brush. Lol. Desperate times, desperate actions! Good luck bud
