My Accord has 105k miles on it.

Just bought these " NGK Laser Iridium Premium Spark Plugs",

Model Type: IZFR6K11.

Car: V4. 4Dr. Honda Accord.

Those are correct as long as your car is not the California model.

Btw: your engine is known as an L4 or I4. It's not a V.

Also, when installing the NGKs, don't use anti-seize on them.

Enlighten me on the California model? I live and bought my Accord brand new in S.Cal. I looked up the make and # of the oem spark plugs and they weren't cheap. I need to change them out now, it has 104k miles.

California had stricter emissions standards than many other states. For California (and a few other states), the Honda Accord had slight differences to meet the PZEV (Partial Zero Emission Vehicle) emission standards. It's actually a little more involved than what I am stating.

For the California model, 4 cylinder which came with automatic transmission, the recommended NGK spark plug number was IZFR6K13.

Other 4 cylinder Accords (I didn't check if the V6 was the same) used NGK IZFR6K11.

The difference in the spark plugs were mainly the plug gap, as the last number on NGK plugs refers to that. The NGK plugs for the California model had a slightly wider gap.

The higher costs for the spark plugs are due to them being iridium. They have a longer service life and you do not adjust the gap on iridium plugs; so, as not to risk damaging the electrode.

As far costs between NGK IZFR6K11 and IZFR6K13, there should be no difference.

Thanks. By V4, I meant a 4 cylinder.

The spark Plugs cost me 60$ at an Auto Part store. At Honda they where 130$. Ebay has them for a much cheaper price at about 30$.

I live in SoCal, so I have to check if its a Cali model. Is there any harm in using the IZFR6K11 model on the Cali accord?

Is it difficult to reach and change spark plugs on a 2004 Accord V6? What is the proper NGC number plug to use?
Thanks for your help!

Same number as the 4 cylinder. The NGK number is (IZFR6K-11) (if it's not a california model). If you want to use Denso plugs the number is (SKJ20DR-M11). The rear bank can be a challenge, if you don't have the right tools.

What plugs are listed in your Owner's Manual? Those are the best for your engine.
