Icon5 Motor Swaps

Alright guys so I have a 2001 honda civic ex 4 door that I want to swap a different motor into. Can anyone come up with some ideas on which engine that would be a good powerplant for this model of civic.

If you're not willing to do some basic forum research, you're not ready to swap an engine. If you're going to ask to be spoon-fed an answer and respond like a stubborn child when you don't get exactly what you want, then are you sure you're not the one being "stuck up"?

You're asking a really stupid and vague question. The answer is yes.

I'm not going to sit here and spoon feed you like a baby. I wrote the Frequently Asked Questions thread for a reason. Its to handle very simple questions, like the one you requested. If you feel that me showing you to that thread is disrespectful, I'm sorry... but I just don't care. If I figured out how to do a K24A2 swap before there was even a real resource to pull from, the least you could do is spend 30 seconds looking through a thread dedicated to helping people. If that's too challenging for you, maybe the automotive enthusiast realm is a bit too advanced for you.

For the record, most people here are more than happy to assist you. However, we frown upon people who do not show initiative; seeing your posts are all we have to judge you by, and you paint a pretty clear picture that you are a bit naive when you ask a question as vague and ambiguous as that.

On the inverse, the picture we are trying to portray is that, based on how you are acting, we are trying to prevent you from undertaking a project that we do not think you are ready to tackle. If you can't see through our sharp responses and realize we are ultimately trying to help you avoid experiencing anger and frustration with an arguably difficult job, then maybe we are right after all.

By all means, prove us wrong, and we will gladly point you in the right direction.

Best of luck.

I'm with everyone else here, but in the spirit of good faith...

You're going to put some serious money into it, 3K+, buying an RSX donor car or EP3 with some RSX parts will yield the almighty K20 swap. Arguably the best modern 4 cylinder engine around

If you don't already have Vtec and want to save some coin, just get a D17A2 and put new rods, high comp pistons, and stage 1 crower cam in it. $1k, and bump it up to 150~HP wth supporting I/H/E mods.

That's really the main (and most supported) swaps for this chassis.
