93 vtec that I just got. Speedo did not work and the black paint on cluster was faded so when driving at night the cluster was unreadable due to the bleed through on the black. VSS was bad as well.

Got an EL cluster from a 95. Ordered a cheap VSS from Amazon for a 93. Now speedo is off.

0 - 7 MPH no movement of needle.

10-20 speed matches my GPS.

Over 20 then speedo starts reading slow. Amount off is progressive. At 60 car is going 54 per GPS

I checked part numbers and there is a part number change for 93 and 95.

Does anyone have any info if there is a mechanic/electrical difference between years on a VSS?

Anyone change to EL and noticed a speedo change?

To add to the problem car came with 225/45/17 which should mean I am running faster than speedo speed.
