Default 01 Civic EX AC Compressor going

So I've had a bearing sound coming from my AC compressor. Probably been like this for the last year, AC hasn't worked before that even. I want to finally take care of this. What are the best options? OE compressor is like $250.

Aftermarket Kit? Easy to install?
Disconnect it? If so what's the easiest way to do this? I don't ever really use my AC...

You can temporarily install a DX belt to route it away from the compressor or you can buy a new bearing and pull the pulley and just press in the new bearing.

Any hides on this? Or is it pretty straight forward? It would be a shame to mess this up and not have a running vehicle

Any additional things to do if I used a different belt or is it same exact thing as normal belt?

What I might do is order both the bearing and belt. If I end up messing up when trying to replace the bearing, at least I'll have a belt to throw on.

I'll report back in a week or so if I ever get around to doing this

Any recommendations on socket size to knock out the bearing?

Should I do both the Pulley Bearing and AC Compressor bearing and or AC clutch?

just get a socket set from harbor freight and one of them will work

the pulley bearing is the compressor bearng, same thing

a new ac clutch kit includes the pulley, clutch, and coil and might be your best bet if you cant do the bearing yourself, but you will need to measure the clutch gap when using the supplied shims
