ITR VS. JDM B16A?
which one would win?? a practically stock ITR w/headers, and open air box (which i doubt does anything) vs. a JDM b16a in a crx w/i/h/e, cam gears, ignition?? Cuz me having the CRX raced my friends ITR, and we were neck n neck the whole way....couldn't pull ahead...dunno why?
typeR's arnt slow. but a stock b16 in a crx should hand them a good beaten on a silver platter. i've raced them on the track they usually run in between 14'9s to 14'5s depending on the driver. my b16 ran 14'2s to 14'5s on street tires. BTW what are your camgears set at??
No offence, But I hate when theese topics are posted. I mean c'mon, you have to explain every thing, starting spped, mods for your car and your friends, road condition, wind, air density, it all goes into account. Even still we wern't there so that doesnt help either. I'd say stock vs. the hybrid(if it were stock) the R all the way. but you have mods so it is not impossible to roast an R, just depends on driving skills.

Hmm, well, I drive a B16A CRX, and I'm thinking I'd get my *** kicked by an ITR (you can tell I have little to no faith in my driving abilities
). Of course, I've never had the chance to race one, but it could be interesting at least!
Again, what c-rex said... it depends on too many variables. They're pretty much an even match in my eyes if you look at the stats however, so I doubt one would 'kill' the other provided equality on all variables.
P.S. C'mon crex... bench racing's fun!

A B16 POWERED CRX WITH BOLT ONS SHOULD WHOOP A TYPE R. I RAN A TYPE R WITH A STOCK B16 IN A 89 FOUR DOOR CIVIC AND WAS DOOR TO DOOR WITH HIM AND THAT WAS NOT THE ONLY TIME. HYBRID ALL THE WAY.

I am going to race my friend's 2001 Type R next week I think. I just got my motor mounts fixed so I am almost ready. I will post results. THe ITR is stock, and my REX is 90 DX w/ B16 y1 I/h/e.
Sounds like a good race! I for one am curious...
I had a matchup with a GSR today. Just from 1st to the top of 2nd. Him (from what I could see): exhaust, rims, bodykit, riced-out taillights and headlights, two friends in the car, and sounded like an intake (it was loud). Me: JDM B16A, stock everything 'cept a K&N air filter, S1 (4.400 FD) transmission, stock wheels, old bald tires. I was reeling him in at the top of 2nd, and if it had gone longer I'd have smoked his *** and handed it to him on a platter
.
With the extra HP from your mods, I think you've got a chance definitely!

well look at it this way the rex it at 2000lbs and the itr is at like 2500lbs(don't know their exact weight). the rex with the mods i'll say is putting like around 150whp, while the itr is at around 165whp so with only 15whp to make up for around 500 extra lbs. i would think that the rex would win easily.
no offense to the 99-00 Si owners out there...but honestly...i don't think those are that quick...unless you mod it quite alot...cuz i raced one in my Crex b4 with the old D16 engine, w/ basics and i beat it..not by alot, but i beat it.

Its true, my friend has a 00 SI which is not that quick. When I used to work for Honda, I used to go abuse a new one once in a while, oh well. His car looks cool as hell, wish it was as fast as it looks!!
Finally... others agree with me on 99-up si's are not that quick. sorry but around here (east coast) anybody and everybody that has a si think they are the fastest thing on the street. So sad that i see 88-91 sohc civics/crx's beat up on 99-00 si's.
