Default Obd2 engine in obd1 Car

This has probably been covered over and over , but I recently replaced a blown motor I got off a homie for a steal.
i had a motor already ready to drop; a D15B (Two Vtech Solenoids 😉 ) that's obd2
The motors already dropped in and running into a 98 Civic that’s obd1.
the only issue I ran Into was my tachometer and speedometer not reading but the rest of my cluster reads just fine
I was digging around and kinda figured that my issue is going to be with the Obd issues because my speed sensor worked fine prior.
my only question will a Obd2 to obd1jumper harness will rid me of my problem .
The Vtech On my D15B is engaging and the motor is running as it should it’s just that tach and speedo issue I ran Into
any help or insight is greatly appreciated

Make sure the tach wire in the distributor runs directly to the cluster.

Check for code 17 for the speedometer problem.
