08 Ody: can drive without ECT 2 sensor function? Mice....
Since moving to a rural property in Oregon, I've come to detest rodents. Perhaps the feeling is mutual, as the miscreants recently chewed through the wiring for the ECT 2 sensor, on our 2008 Odyssey. The check engine light alerted me, and code 2185 was returned, leading to my discovery. No other damage, per my examination. I've exacted my revenge on the little SOBs, but still the Ody is without the ECT 2 function, until I fix it.
Can the Odyssey be safely driven until this is fixed? We have indeed driven it several times, including short distances on the highway, and I can't detect any difference--zero. What does the ECT 2 sensor control?
Any information is appreciated. Thanks....

ECT Sensor 2 send temperature measurements to the PCM and is used principally by the PCM to turn on the engine/radiator cooling fans in extremely high temperatures.
