Suitable cams for a boosted K20a
This is for a turbo K20a2 EP3 for street use and occasional track events (some might call it weekend warrior). Aiming for 600hp at the tires and already worked out main parts but I'm trying to determine if it's worth changing the stock cams.
All I could find about the stock cams is duration intake 302*, exhaust 305*, lift (mm) intake 12.27 & exhaust 10.95. Having searched for the past few days, there's mixed views about using SK2 Ultra cams while others recommend BC Stage 2, DC and kelford cams.
Talking to SK2 online support didn't help much as all they could tell me is that the Ultra cams are for NA but people had high HP gains on turbo setups. BC on the other hand, their product sheet seems to give more info about duration, lift, etc. As far as I know, is that a turbo setup would benefit from shorter duration and higher lift!

If you feel you want a camshaft made for a turbocharger system. Then just get that, and not use an NA one to make up for it. Luckily times have changed.
Really, I'd stay with the stock camshafts for now, and work on learning the car all over again. (600whp is not an easy way to learn the car be it on the track or lowering power down to 400whp on the street) The car will still be completely different.
But if you're hell-bent on getting camshafts, I'd look to the Kelford Series Camshafts more than any other company, including Prayoonto or similar for the K-series.
But try out what you have first, then see if you actually need camshafts. Take advantage of the fact that the camshafts are on the top of the engine.

I'd stay away from the K series Skunk2 cams. I know they've been fixed since the initial issue, but when S2 first released their K cams there was a bunch of issues with them because they essentially just tried to copy the B profile over, which translated very poorly. This was years back, it's been fixed, but still something to think about.
Kelford, Prayoonto, and Drag Cartel all offer great cam grinds for the K series - As for what would actually be best on your application, I don't know.
Food for thought too is the K series uses a timing chain as opposed to the belt, and I know there's been a circle of discussion on the K20a forums that aftermarket cams accelerate not only valvetrain but also TCT wear - Jeff Evans even touches on this in his K tuning checklist. Companies like InlinePro, Ktuned, Hybrid Racing, and several others offer modified TCT's that are supposed to be more resilient towards these things. I have no idea as to the actual risk/reward ratio here though. Some swear by OEM, some by Inline, etc...
tl;dr - I think Shodan has the right idea, and I'd stick with the OEM cams for now. You could look into K20A or 06-08 TSX cams as an upgrade if you want later - Those are OEM cams with more aggressive profiles.

I would use oem cams. They are very well. Im on 27psi boost on 9:1 and have 540hp an 440 ftlbs..with more boost there is no problem to hit 600hp.
