Default 1990 civic cel code 8

i have a 1990 civic hatchback dx, stock d15b2 5 speed. i recently went into limp mode .
after my research i purchased a new (used) distributor, iam no longer in limp mode.
i have since adding new part, installed it and pulled ecu fuse as told to reset ecu..
my car feels like it is running better and smells like its not burning as rich (this is a good thing)
but when looking at my ecu i still have cel code 8....???? is there any other reason i could be throwing this code?

i also have code 1- (o2 sensor, it is new about a month old maybe i ruined it burning so rich?)
code 8- (tdc sensor, was told to fix it replace distributor, did that got out of limp mode but code still present)
code 17-(vss- the worst of them all as i have never found a true fix for this anywhere online)

this all happened yesterday i will be taking car for test drive today to see what happens. because somewhere between going into limp mode and installing a new distributor i got the surging idle.
i dont know if it was something that happened once or if its going to be reoccurring....
this is my 1st post here and any information to help would be great thanks

ok just got back from drive. my car did something new and the temp gauge went up about half way which never happens..... but the idle surge is real i have videos on youtube for reference . there is a 1/2 tube coming of the right side o the dpfi that when i squeeze it closed it stops the surge . hope this helps .
--this video shows how surge stops when i squeeze tube
-- this video is the exhaust , so you have ore of an audio

The surge looks like a vacuum leak to me. Why is the hose clamp 1/2 way up the tube? Need to make sure the clamps are in place and that hose has no cracks/holes. Check your mechanical and electrical timing.

Thanks for the reply. Hose clams has been put into the proper location. Iacv has been cleaned. Today I will buy some carb cleaner trying to locate hose leak

another update.. surging has stopped i did what a youtube video said about loosening nut on throttle body. i did it about 4 times before it actually fixed the problem. like i said it took me a total of four adjustments it probable came out to half a turn 180 degrees. after this i had to adjust my throttle cable because it made car idle to high. after 180 degree turn and throttle adjustment its no longer surging idle/ ghost idle....
pior to fix , i have done:
*replace iacv (
idle air control valve idle air control valve
)
*burp cooling system
*checked all vacuum hoses for leaks
*cleaned iacv
im sure im forgetting something but before doing any of this i would try this NUT 1ST, although cleaning the iacv screen is also a good idea as youe messing with all this. hope this helps someone .
