i have no idea what the hell is going on with my car. i have an 89 integra ls d16a1 motor my CEL came on and it was reading code 3 code 7 and code 8 i replaced the throttlebody and reset the ecu and code 3 and 7 went away but code 8 stayed. code 8 is supposed to be crank positioning sensor. i got a changed out the ecu with another ecu out of an 89 integra ls and now code 8 cleared and code 9 is flashing code 9 is a cyp sensor (i have no idea what that is) but my car wont start now and its beginning the confuse the **** out of me. if anyone has an idea of what the real problem is that would be great. because this randomly changing code is pissing me off

The sensors in your distributor is starting to give out. There are 3 sensors in there, cyp, tdc, and forgot the last sensor.

 

My crank position sensor code came on when my timing belt shredded...

 

Im having the same problem....car killed out and wouldn't start...switched dizzy's now it's missing and Im flashing a code 8. could it have jumped a tooth?
