I don't know which color bearings I need. The replacement bearings I bought are not color coded nor do they have any marking to ID them . ph from cylinder 1 toward 4 the markings on the crank are I'll show pictures I don't understand why there is a B over a 1 then a 3 under the 1 and a 2 on the other side then a C and a1 then a C & 2 then a A & 1
I took pictures of what I'm going to show you to Honda dealer and they were clueless I'm annoyed af Like i said theres a B with a 1&2 so is that pink or yellow my guess is that C1 is yellow and C2 is green A1 is red The C1 looks just like this C2 Closest to the trans is this A1
AAAAAnd the parts guy at Honda said the two bearing halves for one bearing won't be the same and the check the caps for more markings well I don't have caps it's girdle and there ain't **** on it amused I am
It did for a second I was starting to think that since I see B1 C1 C2 A1 that I might need bearings colors from section B numbers 1,1,2,1 but the I'd on the block is as shown all letters but on my crank there are numbers how does this work if I go according to where the arrows point I get B2121 what colors are those !!!!! please help I want to finish my car it's been sitting for a long time
the picture on the left shows how to determine the MAIN bearings - on the flywheel end of the block are the letters that are used in combination with the numbers on the crankshaft to determine the bearing color - on the crankshaft, the numbers for the main bearings are located where the little circles are in the picture on the left - the little arrows from the circle to the crank throw indicate which bearing the number is related to
the picture on the right shows how to determine the ROD bearings - on the connecting rod you will find a number stamped into the side of it that is partly on the rod itself and partly on the rod cap - you use that number in combination with the letters on the crankshaft to determine the bearing color - on the crankshaft, the letters for the rod bearings are located where the little circles are in the picture on the right - again, the little arrows from the circle to the crank throw indicate which bearing the letter is related to
note that on the pulley end of the crankshaft, both pictures from the manual show the little circles for both main numbers and rod letters on the same place on the crank - this is shown on your first picture where it has a letter 'B' for the rod bearing and a number '1' for the number 1 main bearing, which is the first one from the pulley end - in that same picture, the number '2' on the crank is for the number 2 main bearing, which is the second one from the pulley end between the number one and number two cylinders - also note that it is just a coincidence that the numbers 1 and 2 on your crankshaft are for the number 1 and number 2 mains - the numbers could be anything and still be for the no. 1 and no. 2 mains
also, a lot of people get confused by the number on the side of the connecting rods - these numbers are for determining the bearings and do not indicate which cylinder the rod goes into
And the parts guy at the Honda dealer said to check the end caps for more marking to ID what size bearing I need for the bottom because they are to different sizes the top half of the bearing and the bottom half is that true? and I don't even have caps it's a girdle WTF

I think he was meaning the rod caps but as far as I know, that is not true - the number on the side of the rod combined with the letter on the crank is the bearing size
