What’s wrong with my 94 civic lx sedan?
got my car yesterday 94 Honda Civic. Think it needs a head gasket or valve seals or whatever the guy said it needs a head gasket. There’s sludge everywhere on the bottomside of the engine area When you turn it on it has a lot of white smoke clouds of smoke from the exhaust it also isles up and down a lot I think it needs a distributor or alternator too because after you jump the car it dies right after you turn it off and doesn’t turn back on. Also needs a driver caliper He said. The brake pedal goes all the way down the ground but doesn’t stop the car good at all I had to use the e brake and he said I gotta keep putting in brake fluid. The oil isnt orange or milky the cap is clean I have to change the oil because it’s dirty and add more coolant. Any idea what it could Be ? Here’s a video link
Hope you didn't pay a lot for that car.
Yes most likely blown head gasket. Check if the "smoke" smells like antifreeze. With the engine cold, fill up the radiator and start engine with the radiator cap off see if coolant blows out of the radiator.
For the brakes, find where the brake fluid is leaking out and start there. Inspect all 4 wheels for leaks or worn out pads and shoes.

The smoke smells like something is burning I’ll try the coolant it never had any in the first place it was dry I had to put some in, the guy said water was put in it before so I’m just going to change the head gasket and all the head bolts or whatever
