What does "smog certificate ready" mean, for cars sold in CA?

When I look at some used car listings, in CA, some mention a smog certificate. How hard is it to get that certificate?
I'm moving to Scramento, in the Fall.
I might take my PY 2001 ITR, with 77,000 miles. It's OEM except, for a double core koyo radiator.
I've never been to CA and don't know if a regular ole USDM car, from the mid west, can be registered and tagged there.

Should be fine. They look to see if there are aftermarket parts, then they turn the car on and do the smog test which will test your emissions. Make sure you have the emissions sticker which is located on the the underside of the hood.

The car is put away, a-la garage queen, right now.
I went to an online oem parts dealer and looked up Emblems and didn't see an emissions one.
When I get around to looking under the hood, if I don't see it, could it be somewhere else and is it something I can buy, if I can not find it?

Back in 08 the right fender, hood, radiator, and core support were replaced, after an accident.
Is there a part number, for the emissions sticker?

What they mean by smog cert ready is that the car has been emission tested recently and it won't need to be tested again to transfer ownership unless 90 days has passed since it was tested. You don't need a sticker under your hood for registration or emission testing. If you are only moving temporarily I would not transfer it to a CA title.

Thank you for your input.
Back in 2008, when I needed the body parts, no PY ITR was available.
3 years later, a guy that had converted his PY ITR to the JDM front, back in the early 2000s, decided he needed more room in his storage, so he sold me his USDM body parts.
I just looked at my spare and it does have an emissions sticker.
