replaced distributor in 99 civic hx and now smokes runs bad

 

EXACT replacement? hx engines are complicated.

 

Did you actually set the timing or just slap it in there lol?

 

What was wrong with the car leading to replacing distributor?
Are the spark plug wires plugged onto the cap in the proper order?
Was a timing light used to adjust the distributor? Correctly?
What color is the smoke?

 

I love how generic people are now a day and expect others to read minds. Especially over the interweb at it.

 

distributor shaft installed upside down?
bad design so wouldnt be the first time for this b.s...
