92 Civic Fog Light

The fiberglass cloth covered wire is part of the bulb assembly. You would disconnect the far end and pull the wire back through the grommet.

So that wire just disconnects from the main wiring?

Dude, just pull the bulb out with it wire through the rubber gromet. Then reverse for install of new bulb. You are making this wayyyyy harder then it is.
