Key fob able to open doors but not trnk. Trunk lever inside car not able to open it either.

I can hear the latch doing something but it isn't opening.

Trunk is packed with suitcases including medicine and perishables. Need to access but dealers are closed on Sundays.

Alternatives?

 

Can you use the key itself to release the fold-down seat backs and then access the trunk ???

 

That's a good question. What would be the steps for that? I thought the only way to fold down the seats was from within the trunk

 

The rear seat release levers are in the trunk; so, the trunk has to be opened to access them.

Have you tried inserting your key into the trunk key cylinder to open it? Turn the key cylinder and try pushing down on the trunk lid at the same time.

 

Ah okay, gotcha. There isnt a key cylinder. The options are the lever by driver side seat and the key fob

 

Okay, only certain models have the trunk key cylinder.

 

I have the exact same problem with my 2011 civic... did u get the trunk opened?
