Default Can’t get in trunk

I bought my 97 civic ex a couple weeks back the owner only had one key which I beleive is the valet key I can not unlock my trunk. The key cylinder to the seats is mangled and can’t get in this way neither. I have bought a trunk lock cylinder from the salvage yard. Can I drill out the lock cylinder and have this new one re keyed to match the key I got? Or is there another way I could get to the trunk. Maybe the bottom seats. And the trunk latch is disconnected.

I suggest you go to the junkyard, get another key cylinder for the trunk and the rear seat, go to a lock smith and have them rekey both, find someone like popalock service to pick or open the rear trunk, replace both key cylinders and be down.

Your dealer can get you the key if indeed the trunk cylinder is original to your car. Good luck.

. Think he means the cable that runs to the latch by the driver's seat.

Yeah I can pull the lever on the driver side nothing happens so I’m assuming it’s not attached at the lever or the cylinder to the back seat. I took a flat head and hammer to the trunk lock cylinder that ain’t working neither. Only thing I haven’t done yet is tried drilling it out.
