Default 2006 CRV with slow and very hard shift from 1st to 2nd.. solenoid?

I have a 2006 CRV that the trans feels fine in 1st, then when it goes to shift its slow (like it goes into neutral) and then a very hard shift to 2nd, could this be a bad/sticking solenoid? if so any idea which one?

I would like to try to fix this (if possible) rather than jump to replacing the transmission.

Any help on how to diagnose this is appreciated.

Thank you!

Also, if I manually shift from 1st to 2nd with the gear lever, it shifts perfect at any speed... any idea why it would work perfect using the gear lever but not when in D going from 1st to second?

I did two drains and fills w/Honda fluid, no difference. Still shifts great if I manually move the shifter. What controls the automatic shift when in Drive? does anyone have a link to how the CRV transmissions work with the sensors and solenoids etc? thanks much!
