So my 97lx automatic trans hardly went in first so went and pulled another trans from a 00lx with 121,xxx which was hit on the driver side front.i got the trans in and it wouldn't move in any gear. Got it to move a little bit in 2nd. I jacked the front up and started to mess with the shifter cable. After disconnecting the cable from the shifter I found that I can get it to go in all the gears by using pliers. Now the problem I'm running into is I had it in reverse and with the shifter still disconnected the rotors move in reverse no matter what position I have the shifter. Except reverse. When I put the shifter in reverse the reverse lights come on and the R is lit up on the dash but the rotors stop and it's no longer in reverse. Then change the shifter out of reverse and it's back in reverse and rotors are moving again. Any idea's what is going on I am stumped and can not find this issue anywhere online.i have a video when I get around to it I will get it loaded. All plugs are plugged in and both sets of shift silniods click when I tested them.

 

Figured it out. When I pulled the old trans the lower solonied plug wires came out and I thought I had them in right but clearly they were in backwards.switched them and now every thing is working like it should.
