Default fuel pump 90 dx civic

I have replaced the master relay and wondered if it ties into ECU, and does ECU also control fuel pump?

Do you have a Helms manual? The answers can be had with a little research. Google is your friend.

I dont think the ecu controls the fuel pump, only the injector pulse.
The pump works on or off only, the pressure is managed by the fpr and the excess is returned back to the tank via the return line.

Is your pump not priming?

Hi guys, yes was running excessive amount of fuel, ran it to empty, and now no noise from pump, thinking of going to inline fuel pumpas it means dropping tank on the 90 civic, of course an extra fuel filter and possibly a regulator, seems lots went wrong at once, distributor shaft bearing went and have new one ready to go in, though aftermarket you have to watch set up of gapmagnet wise, otherwise tangs on camshaft connection break again.... terry

I'd be worried about why all that went wrong at once. Distributor going could screw up the CPS which would screw up fuel timing, but Honda fuel pumps from that era have an absurdly low failure rate (personally had two get near 250K without any maintenance).

Dropping the tank is a pain, but not impossible. At this point it's recommended, so you have to replace the tank straps and bolts that have probably rusted to nothing.

Ah thank you for that, sounds like the right advice, sometimes there is no easy way, , with this particular tank I have the tank level indicator under the seat, and three liness I assume one for vent gas , one for return line and of course pump outlet. This car as made in Alliston Ontario near Toronto, Canada. i just know that ha snowballing, I will have to replace the tank . Salt and sand on roads much like upper east coast.Well I will carry on, though unsure what to do with the broken tangs on the distributor, connecting to camshaft. Another bullet to bite, shortage of wreckers here, You would not believe the price of auto parts here in Canada, stuff you get for 60 bucks is 300 here, best for now, and thanks.
