I just recently bought my first 2000 integra gsr, it has a b20 vtec engine swap on it right now, I got beat by another stock b20 non vetc engine w/ a b16 tranny, besides not power shifting what else im doing wrong,

 

What transmission are you currently using? An LS? That will slow you down big time (especially compared to a b16 transmission), as you may currently be falling out of your powerband/vtec.
What supporting mods do you have? Name/brand/specs of current intake/header/exhaust/intake manifold/throttle body/clutch/flywheel/cams etc??
Do you have a tune? how was it tuned?

 

well I'm running with a grs tranny. I have an ecu that supports the b20 vtec, headers that im not really sure what brand but my buddy said its a good headrers but illegal lol and a cold air intake with a k&n air filter a straight pipe whole exhaust. and its not tuned I believe. I just bought the car this past weekend. and im kinda rusty on manual shifting.

 

I think im gonna need a b16 tranny. anybody selling one?

 

Whelp that is extremely vague, but it sounds like you have a lot to improve upon.
And if you already have a confirmed GSR transmission, I would work on the things I listed, before digging into a transmission swap....

where do I start? I really want to make this car fast...I want and all motor fast, im thinking getting a b16 tranny with a gsr 5th gear on it. is that possible? and then the rest I can figure out for my self.

 

Yes, that is possible, but again, that is not where you should start.
You, like most one post wonders, should start in the stickied/performance/all motor/etc section, do a bunch more research and look into getting a real tune.

 

The GS-R transmission is the same as the B16 transmission. So unless youre getting one with Type R FD or LSD, you'll be right where you started.
