Default Swapping rods

I'm/we're building a D16Y7 motor, and were swapping the rods to Eagle rods, along with 75.5 pistons (.020 over bore/clean up). My question is, do we heat the small end of the rod for the new piston pin? Or do we freeze the pin to fit? Or both? I've never messed with aftermarket Honda rods, or gone to a .5 mm larger piston. Any help you can offer would be great. TIA.

P.S. I've looked around on the site, but never found any mention of it in all the engine builds (most here are using stock rods). The plan is to eventually turbo the engine, but that might be a year or 2 away.

Aftermarket rods usually are floating pin and will have pin locks. The pistons will need to be floating pin pistons.

If the rods have a brass or bronze (don't remember which) bushing on the small end, it's for floating pin setups.

Stock rods are press fit and don't have the bushing in the small end.

OK, Thank you. I do know the pistons have snap rings. I'll have to check the rods' small end to see if it's got a brass/bronze bushing in it.
