crank or no crank?

no crank = likely bad connection(s) at battery/starter/ground or time for solenoid rebuild kit:

crank no start = no spark or fuel suspects:

There is a single small wire running to your starter solenoid, not the large cable running to the battery. Get a volt meter, check the voltage is 0 when you are NOT cranking. Have someone try to start the car, the voltage on the starter wire should be >= 12v. If the wire is getting power, it's your starter, or cable to the battery. The solenoids are crap on these starters, there are parts online just to fix the solenoid.
If the wire is not getting power, it is an electrical issue. Could be the main relay under driver side dash, ignition switch, ECU, or even low battery voltage or bad ground, just to name a few. You can verify the starter works by running power directly to the starter solenoid (this will turn the engine over, so be careful not to kill yourself). Put car in neutral, plug a wire into the solenoid and then touch it to positive.

Make sure the copper rings that get bolted to the starter are completely clean on the ground and power cables. If it isnt completely clean it wont give the starter enough juice to spin the flywheel. This happened to me multiple times.

thank you I looked at the starter and I didn't see a ground to it so I just placed jumper cables from battery to the starter and flipped the key and it worked. I have a 4 gauge ground from frame to the head, I am going to ground near the Block to see if that helps thanks again
