started car with a manual transmission with parking break on. let out on clutch the car went forward and i heard something break, now the car won't move in any gear and makes a rattling noise when in gear. can put it in gear without disengaging clutch.

 

Sounds like an axle popped out. Jack it up and look. It is likely the passenger side axle. Make sure it is fully inserted into the transmission.
