Hi,

I am having a problem with my Honda in which I can't tell whether it is an electrical issue or a fuel issue. I recently drove about 5 minutes (car was not at normal operating temperature) and stopped for a moment to pick something up (2 minutes). My car would not start after this and I had to have it jumped. My car started perfectly fine following the jump. The following day I was driving and my Honda shut down while driving (was at normal operating temperature). I was unable to to start the car back up and it gave the same symptoms of a dead battery. I got it jumped and was able to drive another 3 miles home. My fuel level was at 1/4 a tank at this time.
I was able to start my Honda the day after I drove it home after the 3 mile drive, without jumping it. However the engine failed after about 5 minutes of idling. The gas tank is at 1/4 full. I tried to start the car again and had the same symptoms of a dead battery.
I have recently replaced the distributor, and main relay, and fuel filter.

Possible faulty alternator. Check the cables and have the alternator checked.
