Default Milestone HX

Hey every one its been a while since I posted but I figured I would update every one on the HX. We just crossed 380,000 miles with the original engine and transmission! Very happy with the old girl.

Keep on rollin' !!! There's nothing like getting your money's worth out of a car... and Honda's will do this more often than not if you maintain them properly. Great job.

Recently I have had a string of miner issues. One was the TPS decided to just die, the second was a EGR code. I ended up pulling the EGR and cross over plate for the EGR to find all 4 holes completely clogged. After about a hour of cleaning she runs great again and no more codes. I also had the throttle body off to remove the old TPS and was amazed at how clean the intake manifold. I wanted to also check the VTEC screen and it clean of any trash or metal. The car only gets regular maintanance and normal 5W-30 oil changes every 3000 miles.

I am considering pulling the injectors before they hit 400,000 and sending them off to be cleaned and flow tested but I consider this preventive maintanance at this point.

Congrats! my d16 only lasted 230k, had a rough life before I got it. (was at 190k when I picked it up) started losing power and had some oil mixing with coolant. RIP.
b20 in it now.

My 1994 EX is at 466k. Still drive it cross country too. I get great gas mileage heading east bound through Nebraska as it's mostly flat. From Georgetown to Aurora I can go 469 miles on one tank. I'm sure your HX can exceed that. I'm on my second transmission and 3rd clutch though.
