What's the best motors to swap??!
I have a 1995 Honda Civic ex it currently has 257k+ so I am looking for a faster engine with less miles
breakdown
budget: $500- $1,500
need: engine , trans and ecu.
so question is which is best to swap for some power and I need prices.
i know a B and K will fit easily with the correct mounts and as I do more research I found the f and h series engines make 200 HP but never seen one in a EJ1 civic . So somebody school me on engines thanks.
(also if I'm posting in the wrong thread I am sorry in advance.)

Welcome,
What is the purpose of this vehicle, daily?
If you're looking for a little more pep with good low end torque I would look into putting a B20 from a CRV into it. Or with your budget in mind you might be able to find a B18C1 GSR motor & trans for $1200-1800 +/- for complete swap.
K series you will spend more than you budgeted. Also, are you going to do all the labor or will you have to pay others for labor? That will be a factor with your budget.
I have a 2000 dx hatch back, I swapped the single cam for a b series swap twice (B16 & LS vtec) before I finally parted it out and went K series. Prices have gone down since I went K but I purchased a 06 TSX long block with paperwork (90kmiles) for $1439, paid $800 for a trans, $850 for AEM v2 ECU then you gotta purchase axles, mounts, shifter box, shifter cables, engine harness, charge harness, conversion harness, etc.
B series is definitely more budget friendly.

Thank you very much for your information very helpful. If I can find a b swap with lsd trans I will go for that .
Also purpose for my civic is weekend car (for some fun highway pulls) want to eventually race it tho.
