CRX door coversion
anyone ever tried to convert the seat belt in the door to make it work on the pillar?? the one thing i hate most about my crx is the freakin seatbelt in the door biggest mistake they made when building this car ..
I converted my 90 hb door mounted seatbelts to pillar mounted. All mounting points are there except the lower mounting point for the 'recoiler'. I cut that part from a junk car and welded it in. Works great, no more torn door panels or chipped up door jambs plus weighs alot less
was that your only option to cut and wield?? if so too bad it not a "bolt on,swap in" procedure .. im suprised alot of people are infavior of seatbelts in the door. i guess you guys dont actually have them in yours.. other wise you hate them ..
plus im going to be needing new door handles soon and would like to get rid of my bulky ones i have now

I have a '91 crx and everytime one of my friends gets out, I'm like "Make sure you don't....." *SLAM* ........ and before I can tell them not to shut the door on the seatbelt, there's the seatbelt hanging from the the door, already have done it's damage.
EDIT: typo

Most time you just drill holes in the floor behind your seat for your lower bolts and Ive seen MOMO's that have the upper straps bolt to the rear seatbelt buckle bolts. There are a lot of options.
