Fiberglass Door Panels for a CRX???
I took off my door panel and ditched the seat belt, butnow i'm left with this bulky door panel, that i dont really need to be massive, however, its unsightly if i just yank it off and leave it off. Has anyone seen any fiberglass door panels for an '89 CRX? I'm just modding my current ones but its extremely tedious and not comin out too good, so i'm thinkin of either makin one or just finding some. Anyone know anything?
Seeing as though you took off your door panels already. You might of noticed they don't weigh a damn thing to begin with. I weighed mine and they weighed 3.5 pounds each. I don't really think its worth it, but I"m no help because I don't any companies who make such a peice. But its going to be damn expensive probably, hopefully not.
88 CRX seat belts went to the floor not the door. I'm not sure if they bolt up to 89 CRX because of the seat belt mounts. But I'm sure they can be fit with a little Fabrication work!!!! Maybe you could look at a local junk yard for the entire door and panels off an 88 CRX, since door belts are not needed in your ride.

88-89 honda crx's had seatbents not on the door and the door panels will not fit on a 90-91 crx because there is a reason there is a bulge in the door panel in the 90-91's the seat belts went there and I think the metal will not form to the 88-89 door panels the bolts that held up the seat belts in the 90-91 stick out a ways and hit into the 88-89 door panels and I believe the 90-91 doors are little bit larger or smaller forgot then the 88-89, I think the glass is smaller on the 90-91 crx. I have also messed around with fiberglass on the door panels and it doesnt work good on the vinyl or atleast have a pro do it. Make sure you have an extra set if your goin to try to fiberglass
Screw the pro doin it
. I'm cheap. And i've allready torn off all of the vinyl, and i'm getting rid of all of the adhesive, i allready cut out where the seat belt was on the lower part. I'm still deciding between just completely taking out that bulge or just rounding it off. It would leave me with more interior room if i took it out but i dunno about my skill level. I'll keep yall updated on my crappy craftmanship =D

I have an 89 CRX si and it has seat belts in the door. I dont know about any other CRX models, though!
Any way, I think rhetorical should keep on trying. The mold is the hardest part!!!

Any suggestions on making the mold? Right now i've just cut out the bulges and what not, i'm going to fiberglass over those quite large gaps. However, I'm not sure if I need to make a mold if I'm not producing multiple ones.
