Recently I downloaded mobile app "AutoDoc" on my Android phone. It seems that it has some pretty good offers on car parts, but I can't figure out on which Model category my Civic is?
Here is my Honda Civic, 1996 1.4i 66kW (Even not sure if it is 1.4i engine, but mostly I see this 1.4i 66kW, so I take it as it is it). Pictures from all sides so you can clearly see how it looks. (Sorry for dirty car or low quality pictures, these are old.)
And here is the list. For now I have selected Civic VI Sedan (EJ, EK) (06.1995-03.2001)
So I have question. 1. Which one of the list is mine? Screenshot is taken in year range it could fit. It's not actually sedan (imo) because when opening the backside of car the rear window opens as well. But when taking Hatchback it doesn't allow me to take 1.4i 66kW engine, it offers 1.4i 55kW or 1.4i S 66kW. Thats the first question. 2. What are the letters in braces (EJ, EK)?
I hope someone can help me with this, so I could write it down somewhere and it could help a lot when doing some googling.
EJ/EK/EG/EH etc are found in the VIN number. I don't remember exactly what position but the two letters are together and usually it requires the number right after the second letter. i.e. CDM 92-95 hatchback tends to be EH2.
Read down in the "other markets" section as that car definitely does not look like a North American car.
Europe - MA/MB/MC five-door Civic / two-door coupe Civic / Civic Aerodeck
2000 Honda Civic Aerodeck 1.5i (Portugal)
Based on the Domani, this version was marketed in Europe as the MA/MB/MC Civic and Civic Aerodeck. It was built in five-door, two-door coupe and Aerodeck (Estate) models in various trim levels and engine sizes. The Aerodeck name was previously used on the Honda Accord Aerodeck, which was a two-door station wagon, popularly known in Europe as a shooting-brake. 1.4 L (D14A2/A5/A7), 1.5 L
In Lings Honda entered full VIN and it shows:
CIVIC - 1996 - KE - (KE)
CIVIC - 1996 - KG - (KG)
But after I switched the model in the app to Fastback I can see only headlights just like mine. (The hachback and sedan had oval ones).
